E-Rate is a program that discounts eligible services for schools and libraries participating in the e-rate program. The program is divided into four categories, each with its own set of services and eligibility requirements:
Category One
This category covers services that are essential to providing internet access, such as broadband and Wi-Fi. Eligible services include internet access, internal connections, and basic maintenance of internal connections.
Category Two
This category covers services that support digital learning, such as equipment and software. Eligible services include routers, switches, wireless access points, and educational software.
